Hey Traders,
It’s Memorial Day — and while the markets are closed today, I want to give you a quick heads-up before the new week kicks off tomorrow.
This short week compresses market action into just four trading days.
And if you’re trading options? That matters.
Because with the extra day off, options premiums will drop sharply between Friday and Tuesday — even if the stock doesn’t move.
So if you held weekly options through the weekend, don’t be surprised if those prices get hit when markets open tomorrow. It’s just the math of time decay at work.
If you’re selling premium this week, you’ll have less time — but that time decay will be on your side.
Plan accordingly.
And while you’re here, take a minute to remember what this day’s really about.
Memorial Day isn’t just a day off — it’s a day to honor the men and women who gave everything.
So I hope you take some time with your family, remember those who served, and come back tomorrow ready to hit the ground running.
Trade well,
Jack Carter
P.S. NVDA earnings come out Wednesday — but don’t go chasing that stock. I have a better plan.
