The market is very very VERY soft. Did I say very?
This morning it dropped quite a bit in such a short period of time. It was also weak on Friday.
Why might this be? The market probably ran up too far too fast.
Remember — as I’ve said before— it was really only driven by 7 stocks.
Maybe the whole AI thing has gotten ahead of itself in terms of pricing of stocks…
See, stocks that had anything to do with AI took off like a rocket during this rally, so now they’re trading at a lofty price-to-earnings ratio.
Maybe now we need to see some of this AI stuff materialize before such high prices can be sustained.
I predict we’re going to see more volatility.
And despite the fact that I’ve been an options seller for most of my life, I think now might be the time to start looking at BUYING options — under very specific circumstances, of course.
That’s something I haven’t said in 20+ years.
