Hey Traders,
During today’s NVDA Earnings Roundtable, someone asked me what I thought about the news that Nvidia’s CEO, Jensen Huang, has been unloading gobs of NVDA shares.
And my answer? I don’t.
I don’t think about it at all.
Why I Ignore Insider Selling
Add it to the list of things I never think about when trading:
❌ News events
❌ CPI, PPI, Fed statements
❌ And now… insider buying and selling.
In my opinion, he HAS to sell.
Think about it — Huang owns a ridiculous amount of NVDA stock. It’s part of his compensation package.
Next quarter or next year, he’ll get more.
So at some point, he has to cash some out.
And that could be for a bunch of reasons that have absolutely nothing to do with whether he believes in NVDA’s future:
🏡 Maybe he wants to buy a new house.
🛥 Maybe he wants a fancy new yacht.
🛠 Maybe he just wants to build a deck.
📜 Or maybe he has a huge tax bill to pay.
Whatever the reason is, I never let insider sales change my trading plan.
I’m Still Accumulating NVDA
I’ve been riding the NVDA bandwagon for a long time.
Right now? I’ve got over 7,000 shares.
And I plan to keep accumulating — because I believe in this company for the long haul… No matter what the fake news out of China says.
And guess what? I’m not the only one who doesn’t care about insider selling.
What the Other Experts Had to Say
On today’s Roundtable event, Graham Lindman pointed out that over the past year, all the insider transactions on Palantir (PLTR) have been sells.
Yet despite insiders selling like crazy… PLTR has gone parabolic over the past year (the recent pullback aside).
Then Roger Scott followed up by saying that studies have been done on insider selling. And you know what they found?
It doesn’t matter.
There’s no edge. No statistical advantage.
In other words? It literally means nothing.
What DOES Matter?
Forget insider selling — what actually works?
That’s exactly what we covered in today’s NVDA Earnings Roundtable.
Even though NVDA has already reported, we talked about:
