Today I want to share with you 3 slick tricks you can use to improve your trading immediately.
1) Get Married
No, I’m not talking about walking down the aisle.
I’m talking about buying a married put.
With some absolutely going bonkers in this market (NVDA and SMCI come to mind), it’s easy to feel like you’ve got a double-edged sword on your hands.
Sure, it’s nice to feel like you’re in a high flying stock.
But then comes the doubt: Do I wait for it to go higher? Do I lock in profits? What if it suddenly drops?
The married put lets you breathe easy by buying some cheap insurance against the stock going down.
See, a married put is when you buy a put on a stock you own.
While that might not make sense to some people (why own a stock AND bet against it?), it’s a perfect way to protect your profits without selling and losing out on even higher potential gains.
As an example, let’s say a stock is at $800 and you are not sure if you should sell.
If you buy a put with a $790 strike price (or whatever strike you feel comfortable with), you’ll be buying some cheap insurance in case the stock plunges down below that strike.
Because if it plunges, the put you bought will soar in value, offsetting — and often MORE than offsetting — the loss in the stock.
You could even decide to exercise that option and “put” that stock to someone at the strike price you bought, essentially giving you an “out.”
2) Wear A Collar
Let’s say you buy 100 shares of something.
Because you own 100 shares, you’re now eligible to sell a covered call on that stock.
So you sell the covered call, immediately collecting premium on it.
Then you turn around and buy a married put with that premium you collected.
It essentially makes the married put “free”, because you’re using money you collected from selling the covered call.
This move is called a “collar.”
3) Go Whale Watching
One of the SIMPLEST ways of improving your trading immediately is to go whale watching.
No, I’m not talking about renting a schooner and taking it out on the harbor to watch actual humpback whales.
I’m talking about watching Wall Street’s biggest players — also known as whales.
See, these fast moving stocks that are getting everyone’s attention are moving for one reason — and ONE REASON ONLY — huge amounts of Wall Street money pouring in.
When these “whales” pile into a stock, it’s virtually guaranteed to move.
And I just debuted a special timer that helps me spot Wall Street’s biggest moves — all while helping me weed out the fake outs.
It’s the biggest change to my trading in decades and you really need to check it out. Especially in this market.
