Hello there, traders!
All week, I’ve been talking about Google Earnings. Perhaps you saw me LIVE yesterday (Tuesday) with my Google Earnings Preview.
What I told you then was pretty simple…
In fact, let me just show you!
As I said, I expected Google to share some pretty positive news: ✅
And I expected that a lot of people would make big, speculative bets heading into earnings: ✅
And finally, I warned that anyone who made a big, bullish bet on GOOG could get burned: ✅ ✅ ✅
Here’s the thing:
Google earnings played out exactly as I expected. And I expected really good things for the stock.
So any logical person could conclude that the market reaction would be positive, too, right?
Wrong.

GOOG shares sank into the earth, dropping over 8.5% overnight!
Why?
Well, you can speculate all day, but the headline consensus points to one thing: cloud technology.
Because the news wasn’t as positive on cloud tech, an area tech investors hyperfocus on, as it was for the rest of GOOG, the stock dumped, even after outperforming all revenue and earnings per share expectations.
What can we learn from this?
The key takeaway here is that earnings are unpredictable.
You simply cannot EVER line up a speculative bet on any stock before earnings and hope for good results.
Sometimes, you’ll get lucky. But most of the time this strategy will eat you alive.
And that’s why, just as I did in that short clip above, I’ve always warned my students NOT to take that approach.
Especially when, with stocks like GOOG, there’s a steady, repeatable way to target an incredible portfolio-building, cash-generating approach without ever touching those high-risk bets.
Now, I told students all about that on Tuesday, but some of you may have missed it…
Or, it’s possible some of you just weren’t paying enough attention, and went into GOOG earnings with big expectations and taking high-risk bets, anyway.
Either way, I want to give you a second chance to catch this strategy, so that you’re never in this situation again.
That’s why I’ll be hosting my Google Earnings REVIEW workshop tomorrow — Thursday, October 26 @ 11:00 AM ET.
You can save your spot to join me at this link.
Summary: Google Earnings are a perfect example of why it’s hopeless to place speculative bets before earnings announcements.
I predicted this, and advised students that there’s a better way to play GOOG — my Google Blueprint.
I told students all about it Tuesday, but for anyone who missed out, I’m going LIVE again tomorrow to give you another chance. Reserve your spot to join me here.
Then set an alarm for Thursday at 11am Eastern!
See you Thursday.
Trade well,
Jack Carter
